Antonio B. Mon (Tony) has over 30 years of expertise managing homebuilding businesses. Tony’s experience in the homebuilding industry encompasses small, medium and large companies, both private and publicly-listed national homebuilders.
In the 1980’s Tony acquired MJ Brock Corp., a Los Angeles based homebuilder from CIGNA. As the company President, he successfully grew the business and merged it into The Ryland Group, a major US homebuilder. As Senior Vice President of the Ryland Group and President of Ryland Ventures Company, Tony worked closely with Ryland’s Chairman and Chief Executive.
During the California recession and housing crisis in 1991, Tony co-founded Pacific Greystone Corp. Pacific Greystone Corporation grew rapidly into a large public (NYSE) homebuilder and was later merged into Lennar, one of the US’ largest homebuilders.
In 2002, Tony was appointed Vice-Chairman, President and CEO of TOUSA, Inc., the 13th largest US builder with operations in Arizona, Colorado, Las Vegas, Texas, Florida, Nashville, Virginia and Maryland.
Tony believes his success is directly related to one person…you, the homebuyer. Mr. Mon says “Whether we have a large or small company, whether we build in one city or many, our success depends on one thing, Customer Satisfaction. The Customer must be able to call on any one of us, at any time, and know that we understand how important their home is to them and their family. We simply will not do business any other way!”
Tony is an avid boater and offshore fisherman. His other eclectic interests include food, wine collecting, travel, reading, plays and music. Tony is a widower who stays close to his grown children and their families including the newest addition, granddaughter, Madeline, who was born in London on New Year’s Eve.
